A Brush With Love

Title: A Brush With Love

Author: Mazey Eddings

Publisher: St. Martin’s Griffin

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Author Mazey Eddings has done an amazing job crafting a story representing a main character with anxiety. Kudos to her for tackling this representation. And putting a content warning at the beginning of the book. As an anxiety suffer this felt authentic and accurate in a lot of ways.

“No one should have to lose a piece of themselves to make others comfortable.”

Harper is one of the top dental students awaiting a slot into an oral surgery residency program when one day she has a “meet cute” and literally crashes into Dan, another student. She breaks his dental mold and agrees to help him rebuild it. Next thing you know they start running into each other more and more, studying together and hanging out.

Despite a family legacy in dental, Dan doesn’t have the same passion for being a dentist like Harper. But, Harper decides she can’t risk her carefully planned life (and I do mean careful!) and tries to keep Dan in the friends zone.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This one was cute! I felt like the characters were written well. And I was satisfied with the ending. I also loved that it came with a cast of friends. They really added to the book.
