Title: Beg, Borrow or Steal

Author: Sarah Adams

Publisher: Dell Books

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Trope: Enenmies to Lovers

{Thank you to @prhaudio for the listening copy of Beg, Borrow or Steal by Sarah Adams. This dual POV book is dual narrated by the beloved duo of Nelson Hobbs and Brittany Pressley. They had Sarah Adams’ witty banter and swoony characters flying off the pages.}

Beg, Borrow or Steal is the third book in the ‘When in Rome series’ and while it does read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the full series to ultimately appreciate the awesomeness of the Walker siblings and town of Rome, KY is. I just love this author’s writing; everything she does is so intentionally and well thought out.

“Find someone who makes you look on the bright side.”

Emily Walker and Jack Bennett are enemies, no scratch that, they are nemeses. They first met in the same college program and now both teach second grade at the same school feuding all along the way. After Jack calls off his wedding and buys the house next door to Emily their summer break slowly makes them begin to forget why they hate each other so much. Maybe they are more alike than different.

“His smile is so warm right now that I could roast a marshmallow on it.”

Have you ever accidentally sent an email to the wrong person? Well, Emily did, after a bottle of wine and feeling sorry for herself. It was the haze that had her turning to Jack for help. Right? Right? It couldn’t be anything else she might be feeling…

“You are not alone, Emily. I would walk through my worst memories to get to you every single time.”
