{Thank you @librofm for the #gifted listening copy! Narrated by Rachel Fulginiti who preformed both Claudine and Wiley flawlessly!}

I was scrolling my audiobook queue and decided with the snow days and negative temperatures this week that Bluebird Day by Megan Tady would be the perfect immersive read.
I’m a sucker for books that tackle family dynamics and sometimes the Mother/Daughter relationship can be a complicated one. Especially when you add in competitive natures, family legacies, anxiety, secrets and so much more!
“What is winning, but a completion of desire.”
Decorated skier, Claudine Potts, and her daughter Wiley are estranged. They stopped speaking when Wiley quit competitive skiing and turned to her dream career of art. The Potts’ are not quitters!
Wiley is all set to compete in a European fitness competition in Germany when her partner is injured. Wiley knows the only person who can compete at such a high level and won’t say no is her mother.
She reaches out to her mother—who eagerly agrees—but first needs to make a stop in a Swiss ski village for some overdue business. Wiley and Claudine become trapped when an avalanche strikes the town. Will this force Wiley and Claudine to not only be together, but actually have some long overdue conversations?
Serious at times, but also a lot of fun in this Swiss village and staying at a Hostel. I loved the secondary characters a lot. Sometimes the lack of communication was annoying, but at the same time it felt authentic to these characters, their situation, and the growth to come throughout the book. A quick read that I can confidently recommend.
