The audiobook is 1 million percent the way to go! It’s a full cast audio and along with interviews throughout the story it’s drawing comparisons to Daisy Jones and The Six.
Short Review: Clear your schedule… Once you start this one, you won’t be able to stop! I don’t even want to tell you how late I stayed up reading this one in one sitting!
I love the Winter Olympics—skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, ice dancing—I love all of it! One of my favorite ice dancing couples was Meryl Davis and Charlie White. Gosh, did they have an electric connection. Such a connection everyone always thought they were a couple. While they never were, I couldn’t help but think of them as I was reading all about our fictional ice dancing couple Katarina Shaw and Heath Rocha.
What you’re in for:
⛸️ Not your average Sports Romance
⛸️ Passion, Scandals, Toxic Drama
⛸️ Chasing Olympic dreams
⛸️ Mixed Media
⛸️ Best Friends
⛸️ Second Chances
⛸️ Soul Mates
⛸️Simultaneously Likable and Unlikeable Characters
“To the world, they were a scandal. To each other, an obsession.”
As a young girl Katarina lost her mother and in a sleepless night found herself watching ice dancing competitions on television. She was instantly drawn, instantly obessed. She meets Heath a lonely kid in the Foster care system and they form a connection. Kat teaches Heath to skate and they become quite the duo both on and off ice. Heath would do anything for Kat; almost to the point of an unhealthy desire to please her.
“The thing is, when pushing your limits is all you know, when it seems normal to you…it’s hard to remember you even have limits. Until you run right into them.”
Kat: Today is the tenth anniversary of the worst day of my life.
With this anniversary comes an unauthorized documentary refueling the public fascination with Kat and Heath. The interviews include friends, and rivals, but why should anyone else get to tell their story and define their legacy? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
