Short Review: Tracey Lange is an auto buy author and just gets better and better!
Long Review: I had a different review planned today for #Fivestarfriday but after bingeing this audiobook in one sitting last night, I wanted, no needed, to shout this one from the rooftops! Thank you to @macmillan.audio for the #gifted ALC. Narrators Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and William DeMeritt expertly narrated this one and elevated this story even further. I love dual narration for a dual timeline/POV!

Family drama. Estrangement. Complicated character. Grief. Love. Second chances.
For over two years main characters Kyle and Casey, who were high school sweethearts and married for over sixteen years, have been estranged. Kyle lives all the way across the country now, but is headed home when his father has a fall from a stroke and needs rehab care. Immediately, the title makes sense: What happened to the McCrays?
Simultaneously a heartfelt and heartbreaking read we weave from present day and the past with so much love and history of this couple, their families and community. It’s beautifully written and crafted carefully to engage the reader and really make you root and care so much about these characters!
I think sports bring people together and really loved Kyle and Casey coaching a middle school hockey team together.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Did I already read a favorite book for the year in January? For, sure. I’m not sure what else to say, but this is a must read!
I can’t wait to see what Ms. Lange does next!
