If you love The Hallmark Channel Christmas movies, then you’ll love this book! That’s because this book IS a Hallmark movie! I know it’s usually the book then the movie, but not this time! The book is nearly identical to the movie, just with a lot more details. I like that!
Christmas is Evergreen: Tidings of Joy is a romance between main characters Katie and Ben. They meet on the train headed to Evergreen. Katie is a writer based in NYC and Ben works at the library in Evergreen helping his Nan. Ben, however, used to be a writer in Chicago so these two have a lot in common. Their romance felt a little too insta-love for me, but i’ll over look it because it’s Christmastime and we all know Christmas is full of magic.
The town of Evergreen is picturesque and full of whimsy. They have a snow globe, that grants wishes, after all. The plot of this one revolves around the snow globe breaking, which catapults a series of events in order for the town discover and open the 50th anniversary time capsule. The time capsule ends up being a mural and an advent calendar.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book is delightful! I fell is love with the town of Evergreen. It’s your typical small town where everyone is looking out for each other and is family!
