Title: Enjoy The View
Author: Sarah Morgenthaler
Publisher: Sourcebooks Casablanca
‘Enjoy The View’ is the third book in the Moose Spring series that I’ve read by this author. The first book is The Tourist Attraction and the second book is Mistletoe and Mr. Right. However, in my opinion, this book was drastically different. It was missing the silly and playful storylines the other two had and had a much more serious tone.
River Lane (🙄) is a former Hollywood darling, but now her career is in a downward swing. Determined to revive things, she agrees to film a documentary in the small picturesque town of Moose Springs. The assignment should be easy, but unfortunately the town wants nothing to do with her. Well, River doesn’t give up that easily. Determined, she hires mountaineer, Easton Locket, to get her and her crew up and down Mount Veil in one piece.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Barely. I honestly couldn’t stand River’s character. And I didn’t think her and Easton had great chemistry. The Alaska wilderness and mountain climbing is freaking dangerous, so this was all kind of out there for me. This book was missing all of the usual town secondary characters we’ve grown to love. I’ve read three books by this author and think she is talented, but desperately needs help with editing. For this genre, I find her books to be way too long with too much unnecessary dialogue.
Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks for honoring my request to read and review this title. Today is publication day for this title if you are interested in picking yourself up a copy and traveling to Alaska! 😉
