📚❤️2023 Literary Fiction Favorites❤️📚
What makes a book Literary Fiction? I’m not sure there is a true definition out there. Maybe there is. For me Literary Fiction books are the ones that really make me think. The ones that are begging to be discussed with a friend or a book club. I find a lot of them to be character driven or filled with lush lyrical prose. They move you. Or change you. They make you remember why you are a reader in the first place. A lot probably genre cross into Contemporary too.
📚Maame by Jessica George - Oh did I love this debut and have not forgotten about Maddie! I’m eager to see what this author writes next!
📚Hello, Beautiful - I love Ann Napolitano’s writing and it occurred to me when I made this list that I put this book on my favorites shelf and in doing so never actually review it. Oops! Maybe #bookstareviewweek !?
📚Adelaide by Genevieve Wheeler - This was another debut that knocked my socks off and a character that I haven’t forgotten about.
📚The Collected Regrets of Clover by Mikki Brammer - I was surprised I was able to close this book by the time I was finished because of amount of times I tabbed the beautiful writing.
📚Little Monsters by Adrienne Brodeur - I loved this on audio! Dysfunctional family drama.
📚Tom Lake by Ann Patchett - I think Ann is a genius and as a Mom with older kids I really related to this.
📚The Connellys of County Down by Tracey Lange - This author weaves a family story together so well!
📚Mercury by Amy Jo Burns - Another perfectly executed family story. I guess I like family dramas!
📚The Brilliant Life of Eudora Honeysett by Annie Lyons - Don’t be like me and let this one sit one your shelf!
📚The Door-To-Door Bookstore - This was a Dec. read I’ll be reviewing soon!
📚What you are looking for in the library by Michiko Aoyama - This was also a Dec. read I’ll be reviewing soon!
If you got this far thanks for taking a look at my favorite books. I hope you found something to add to your TBR!
Also, enjoy my little photo bomber!
