I See London - Book Tour Review

📚 Book Tour + Review 📚

Title: I See London

Author: Chanel Cleeton

Publisher: Canary Street Press

Genre: Contemporary Romance/New Adult

Thank you to @storygramtours + @canarystreetpress for having me along on this tour! I’ve always known Chanel Cleeton for her Historical Fiction, but apparently she made her start ten years ago with a couple of romance ebooks which together are the International School series. And now for the first time ever, the first book in the series ‘I See London’ is out in print with a new stunning cover. How pretty is this!?

This book is highly bingeable and I read it one night! It’s a contemporary romance that definitely leans new adult. It reminded me of ‘Anna and the French Kiss’ but with college kids instead of high school. And a lot more edgier.

Maggie is a small town South Carolina girl who was raised by her grandparents. Her mother left when she was five years old and she has daddy issues (rightful so!) because her dad is always taking overseas assignments and is never home or involved with her life. From a young age she thought her dad would notice her if she just was the best and got into Harvard. Well, that didn’t happen and along the way she missed out on growing up and heads to the London International School as a plan B having never been kissed or experiencing much.

London is full of city life, clubbing, designer clothes and a faster moving life that Maggie could’ve of ever even imagined. Luckily, she meets a friend at school and thaws out her roommate dubbed the “Ice Queen” to help her navigate things. She meets a guy named Hugh and fibs a little about her age, but really she has developed an intense attraction for Samir a guy at school who made it clear he doesn’t do relationships.

This book was addicting, full of drama, and New Adult at its finest. Romance readers, give it a go, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Favorite Quote: “I didn’t get to travel much when I was younger. So I liked to read. Books let me go places I wouldn’t have a chance to go to. They gave me a different life, an adventure.”
