Title: Small Things Like These
Author: Claire Keegan
Genre: Novella/Irish Literature
In 1985 in a small Irish town, Bill a coal merchant, makes a startling discovery while out on a delivery at a Catholic Convent. This makes him confront his past and the church’s hold on this town that is barely surviving.
A story filled with hope, heroism, and empathy that I read in one sitting.
It will leave you pondering and send a strong message about doing the right thing.
It takes place at Christmas and maybe that makes the message stronger, but I think you can read anytime. I will reread this one yearly! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
