📖 Book Tour 📖 Title: Starring Adele Astaire Author: Eliza Knight Publisher: William Morrow @williammorrowbooks Genre: Historical Fiction Thank you @bibliolifstyle + the publisher @williammorrowbooks for having me on this book tour! Starring Adele Astaire by Eliza Knight just released yesterday, 6/6. Happy Pub Week!
When you think of the last name Astaire, you probably automatically think of Fred Astaire, right!? But Adele Astaire, his sister and first dancing partner, is just another example of women’s story is a man’s world that deserves to be told!
My first impressions of Adele were she was so poised and dazzling— what a star! Fred and Adele are headed to London to do a new show and Adele meets a chorus dancer, Violet and they become fast friends. Violet is still trying to make it as a dancer, where Adele has been at it for so long she finds her self longing for a family.
This book takes you through the roaring 20s, the stock market crash of 29, the Royal family makes an appearance, and then WWII. It has very strong themes of friendship, found family, heartache, loss, but each of these characters find peace and hope.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very well researched! For fans of hollywood glitz and glam; and those that like their historical fiction to lean biographical.
