Title: Taste (My Life Through Food)
Author: Stanley Tucci
Publisher: Gallery Books
Genre: Memoir
Taste My Life Through Food by Stanley Tucci was the best book I read in the month of November. Tucci proved the saying âFood Is Loveâ over and over again in this funny, thoughtful and sweet memoir. Youâre going to want 2 copies of this. The audiobook for Tucciâs superb narration and the hardcover for the beautiful illustration on the inside cover and the recipes throughout.
Itâs hard to pick a favorite part or chapter. Is it the beginning hearing about the 7 year old inquisitive little boy watching Julia Child with his mother pondering eating duck and learning to make crepes? It is the pride Tucci has of his family dinnerâs growing up and his praise for his motherâs cooking or his father cooking Friday night dinners? Is it the stories of never going empty handed to an Italian relatives house!? (These stories were very familiar to me!) The Italian Christmas chapters were up there tooâŠTimpano! Or the famous sausage meal with his fabulous co-star Meryl Streep. I could go on and on. But I will just leave you with Tucciâs famous Negroni . . .
A NegroniâUp

I donât rate memoirs, but if I did this would easily be 5 stars. Really all the stars!!!
PS - My mom is visiting and made fresh pasta today! Mangia! I had to have gluten free. Wah. Wah.
