Title: The Nature of Witches
Author: Rachel Griffin
Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire
Genre: YA
The Nature of Witches was a total must October read with Witches in the title and also a #bookstagrammademedoit book. EVERYONE was reading it and I was not about to have #fomo Not sireee. No way. No how.
I honestly didnāt really know much of what this book was about before I started it. Magic, witches, seasons. Okā¦that all sounds good. But, what I got was so much more. I listened to this on audio and was swept up into this story. I was blown away. The author did an amazing job making you feel love. Love for people, love for our precious land, love for each beautiful season and all the it entails. The good, the badāall of it.
Hereās the gist without giving too much awayā¦
š Each witch has magic for itās season that fades away at the end of the season
š Except for Clara, she is an ever-witch with magic for every season. She has too much power that she is in school learning how to control. Because of her magic she loses people close to her that she loves.
š Sang comes to the school to train Clara, but as her magic continues to grow so does her feelings for Sang. Clara becomes terrified she will lose Sang too.
š Can Clara learn to use her magic properly or will she lose it all?
Rating: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Iām blown away that this is the authorās debut novel. It was phenomenal! I did the audio which was amazing, but Iām so glad I have a hardback for my shelf. Itās gorgeous! Even behind the dust jacket!!! The author has a new book coming out and I canāt wait! Though, I will miss Clara and Sangā¦they were so lovely together. I also enjoyed Clara and Paigeās friendship. I highly recommend this oneā¦it will give you all the feels!!!
