I went into this book thinking it was a major thriller and it’s not. Because of that I found it to be a little slow. So learn from mistake and you’re really going to enjoy this one. Author Janelle Brown is a very talented writer and I always think it does an author a disservice when their books are misrepresented.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 I really enjoyed Pretty Things last year and wanted to read more of author Janelle Brown’s backlist. This one is from 2017. While this one wasn’t my absolute favorite, I still enjoyed it can confirm without a doubt that author Janelle Brown’s writing is top notch!
This was August’s #inwiththeoldbookclub pick! We even got to meet with Janelle on zoom and she is just so fantastic and kind to engage with all of her readers. I’m excited for her new book “I’ll Be You” about twin sisters coming out next April.
